Sound Beds
Anyone who has experienced a gong at close range knows that its sound is as much felt as it is heard. Layers of resonance move through the body, creating subtle vibrations that can be felt long after the first strike. Often, the body responds before the mind has time to process what it is hearing. It is this deeply physical quality that makes a gong bath unlike almost any other sound experience.
At Forest Resonance, we have taken this experience a step further with our bespoke sound beds. Designed exclusively for our studio and currently unique in the UK, they combine the ancient practice of gong bathing with carefully integrated technology to create a deeper connection with sound and vibration.
As you rest on the sound bed, the gong's lowest frequencies are carried directly through the body as gentle, immersive vibration. Rather than experiencing the sound only through the air, you begin to feel its resonance from within. Frequencies that would usually sit at the edge of perception become tangible, creating an experience that is both grounding and deeply absorbing.
There is nothing you need to do. Simply settle into the space, close your eyes and allow the sound and vibration to unfold. As the session progresses, the distinction between listening and feeling begins to soften, creating a deeper sense of presence and stillness.
Each experience is supported by our collection of fifteen exceptional gongs, including bespoke instruments handcrafted by Andromeda Gongs, alongside singing bowls, hanging bells and a carefully curated sound environment. Every instrument has been chosen for its unique voice and character, allowing us to create rich, layered soundscapes that are both immersive and restorative.
Our bespoke sound beds are available as part of our Standard Sound Sessions and are included at no additional cost. Whether you choose to experience the sound bed or simply enjoy the surrounding soundscape, the choice is entirely yours. Forest Resonance sound beds are handcrafted to order and, from September 2026, will be available to lease or purchase. Created for professional use, they offer sound practitioners, wellness studios, retreats and luxury spa environments an opportunity to introduce a truly distinctive sound experience into their own practice.
